MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER: 'Dry The River' Video Trailer Posted Online

May 30, 2007

Birmingham, AL hard rockers MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER are set to unleash the first video from their critically acclaimed new album, "II" (Ferret Music). Conceptual in both sight and sound, the "Dry the River" video will drop the first week of June. In the meantime, a trailer for the video can be viewed at YouTube.

Based on the layout of the "II" album, and filmed at Sanna Ranch in Agua Dulce, CA by directors Andrew Paul Bowser and David Kalani (ARMOR FOR SLEEP, BUTCH WALKER, GYM CLASS HEROES),"Dry the River" tells the tale of "the last night for a gang of criminals" (as portrayed by the members of MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER),whose "lucky streak has finally come to an end." Vocalist Dallas Taylor explains, "It turned out amazing. To me it feels like watching a short film and I don't think it could have turned out any better. I believe that all of the hard work we put in, coupled with the vision of directors Andrew Bowser and David Kalani, will ensure that this video comes across as more of an 'experience' for the viewer."

MAYLENE AND THE SONS of DISASTER recently wrapped up a tour with UNDEROATH and will hit the road again next month with HE IS LEGEND. You can also catch the band as part of the 2007 Vans Warped Tour, where they will perform alongside BAD RELIGION, FISHBONE, SUM 41 and more.
